Simply tolerating degeneracy
Dont want to get hooked on drugs? Never drink or use drugs to begin with. Dont want to get hooked on degeneracy? Dont flatter the idea in the first place

Sex out of wedlock or pornography

Previously non trivial things made trivial today. This video explains it pretty well.

Mass media, always trying to popularize bad behavior.
Friend of mine recommended I watch The Ranch on netflix awhile back. Thought it seemed relatively heteronormative, but sure enough it was full of dumb redneck tropes and enough "no homo" humor that it started to be homo, and then they started pushing the bestiality jokes... Everyone is an alcoholic of course.
It's nothing new, just Married...With Children dressed up as middle America. Typical leftist subterfuge. My point is they take something wholesome, like ranching in the Midwest and try to show it as corrupted and morally conflicted.

Kind of like that new Far Cry game, not sure of the number. I'm pretty sure the ones before it were located on third/second world islands, but this one is based off a corrupt Midwest town full of typical media portrayals of red necks, dirty priests, etc. Haven't looked at it other than a commercial, so I may be off a little, but whatever. Its way too coincidental with how things are going.

It starts with the main character's ex-love interest being a slut to get back with him. I watched the first 3 episodes and turned it off. I can understand having less than perfect characters but sluttiness is no way to start a relationship and I have no patience for that sort of thing.

I think that's just the novelty factor in media. Media has to keep making things more and more novel. Look at cooking shows: You can't make a cooking show that's about stuff like grilled cheese and spaghetti and meatballs. No, you gotta find the most exotic ingredients and the most extreme preparation and decoration and upsell the shit out of that. Because if they want to see basic stuff they'd be watching reruns of 1980s Julia Child.

I think you're onto something. Lola bunny did something to me when I was a kid.

There isn't a gateway drug and Lola Bunny isn't a Disney character.
