the circlejerk is strong in that post... "heavy breathing" "this makes me horny" "NSFW this!" etc. make a comment that isn't expressing a desire to blow your load into these sugar death traps, and you're called pretentious and downvoted all the way to China. gluttonous fucks.

Snickers dip.. I thought I'd seen it all..
[–] BurnTheToast 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago (edited ago)
It doesn't count against your calories if it's a dip right?

Pretty sure that those "dips" were meant for big groups of people - insteada hams probably shovels down an entire bowl as a "healthy snack"
[–] Doctor_Mathematics 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
They're probably meant for parties so you know most hams are going to be eating them as snacks for sure
[–] LawyersPlayDota 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago
FUCK, this one party a bit ago, my girlfriend invited her 350lb ham friend, and she sat on my couch and ate a half gallon bowl of sixlets in the first half hour.
[–] Nahfuckreddit 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
All alone on their couch, because they dont get invited to parties.

I'm sure they justify making this food by telling themselves "I'll share it with people!".
then, "oopsies, ate the whole bowl, I just couldn't control myself, tee-hee!"

Usually Im the first to defend the guys on shit like r/food, because I'm Mikey and I'll basically try anything but yeah that shit looks gross. What the fuck? It's not even functional, if you want cookie dough, eat cookie dough, if you want mint chocolate chip ice cream eat that - if you want both make an ice cream sandwich out of the two, but don't fucking be like, "Oh I couldnt decide so I mashed up all these desserts and made "dip" tee hee hee!" Dip is gross anyway.

This makes me so sad. I love and I love to cook (in fact, check out /v/healthyfood) but now everything is either salad or shit covered shit or a heart attack in a bowl and everyone is going "wooo, delish" and god i am SO PISSED!
[–] Ripley_Riae 0 points 8 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago
Come the fuck on... Who eats that shit?
The only dip I like really is Taramasalata, a Greek dip made from salmon or cod with lemon. You dip pitta bread in it and thats it. It's only fish and lemon, not like a Snickers dip (A Snickers bar is not a fucking dip you fat fucks)

Tzatziki is lovely- just yoghurt, cucumber and herbs really. I also like tapenade- anchovies and olives blitzed in the blender. We used to live in Cyprus on a forces base and all the fat squaddie wives were eating frozen pizzas and chicken nuggets imported from the UK but we ate very Cypriot- lots of grilled meat and fish, salads, homemade bread, homemade shish kebabs on the barbecue etc. We ate a lot of dips but we'd generally have them with veggies as well as the pitta bread. I miss eating like that but you don't feel like it in grey British drizzle. This is what baffles me about so much of America- in the places where you have lovely hot climates you have people who leave their air conditioned house in an air conditioned car to go and eat 4000 calories in an air conditioned fast food joint, and then wonder why they look like they are made of dough.

There's hot...then there's hot and humid and I will not give up my AC
I eat lighter fare in the hot months. I can't eat stews, hit soups, pot roasts, etc. too heavy. I eat cold cuts, raw veggies, fruit, and yogurt in the summer.

I'm not really a fan of Olives, Just not my taste. Been to Greece and Cyprus so many times on holiday, I loved the atmosphere, especially going on boats out in the sea. And Ouzo12... Got to love the Ouzo. Taramasalata is something I only tried when I was in the UK surprisingly, pity I never got to taste a genuine Greek taramasalata but alas. Sainburys make a reasonably good one
When I was on holiday in America my American friend thought she'd found some Taramasalata for me... Turned out to be Salmon cheese paste... like, the fuck?

I like htipiti, roasted red pepper and feta, with pita.

I have a sweet tooth, so I could see myself trying some of the foods in that picture, but I get the feeling that even a bite or two would be too sweet to handle. I don't think anyone not intending on serving it to a large group should be making anything on that list, though. It looks like party food, but I'm sure some fatties will see it as a light snack.

The lemon cheesecake dip with fruit, looked good. In moderation, of course.
