Shoulda had the case relocated due to prejudice of the jurors, since they are clearly all leftards in Berkeley.

It’s repulsive they didn’t. The “average Berkeley juror” is going to be someone who thinks Antifa isn’t extreme enough. I’m not kidding...

The defending attorneys were happy having it tried right there. The prosecutor's prioritizing his leftist leanings over his oath of office to put criminals in jail was made clear in the article, so he wouldn't change venue either.

It's obvious that non-communists are no longer safe in Berkeley, and any students (or families, or businesses) that don't prescribe to those politics should evacuate.

The prudent move for anyone who isn't a complete leftist loon is to get away from these people. It's not "white flight" it's "white sanity."

An appeal with a change of venue is required here . . .

Double-jeopardy. Once someone has been judged innocent by a jury they can't be retried. They can possibly be tried for a different offense, perhaps on the federal level?

Unfortunately being declared innocent by a court would also make it difficult to sue them for damages.

The Left/Right divide is really getting bigger. I hoped it would narrow after the election, but sadly it’s not. Oh well, I got guns for a reason

Obama's administration did one very useful thing -- it shows us all just what the left's real intentions are. They got so arrogant under Obama, they thought they could come right out and tell us how much they despised us, and how much contempt they had for the people of the "fly-over states" and for "dead white males" and for the "deplorables" and for the Constitution and for the flag and for the white men who built America. They never imagined they would lose the election to Trump. Oops. Lol. Now we know what they truly are, and we won't forget.

When the court of law rules that it's okay for commies to openly attack people, the courts are no longer working for the people. Better dead than red.

CCing comfortably I will shoot dead any attacker ... whatever the imagined reason for the attack. Make it your business to do the same. When assaulted don't wait; shoot early ... shoot often.

Good luck! https://www.hooktube.com/watch?v=FH7aTp8DsVI

Guy was menaced by multiple Antifa thugs, brandished gun: found guilty of 10 counts of unlawful use of a weapon, 10 counts of menacing, and 1 count of 2nd degree disorderly conduct.

40 days in the slammer, felony conviction, banned from owning firearms. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Strickland_(blogger)

Pad're you do not brandish ... the law does not protect brandishing. Any CC instructor teaches that. If you are attacked: you-as-victim identify a threatening target, draw and fire your weapon till the threat is neutralized. THAT is protected behavior ... in Florida.

I think they do that to enough of us it will end bad for them. Part of what makes them safe from us is that we have shit to lose. Once we are collectively out of fucks to give (felony convictions, loss of jobs/family/home) and our numbers reach critical mass well then things start to get interesting

In a heavy liberal area why would you want a Liberal Jury?? Fuck the Jury and just have the judge rule. You can hold the Judge to the fire if he gets political, or makes rulings based on opinion instead of facts. Now-a-days they push and want a jury since it means they can control what the jury sees, hears, and understands. Remove the jury and you remove the way the judge can manipulate the situation.

Hi, I'm usually the one thats late to the party. The commentary I wrote was an advisory to those in that area. If you read the article, one would come off with the the belief that possibly Jury but for sure the public attending the trail were liberals. At the end of the Article it stated something about a kangaroo court, don't remember since its been a week. But my comment was to those who read it and went wtf was the judge thinking. Now majority of people if ever in court are defending themselves. So my comment was too them. About a way to stop it from happening too them. But yes you are correct only a Defendant accused of a criminal offense(usually) can waive that right. But I highly doubt we have many prosecutors on voat, just saying.
