Great stuff. When flavored right I enjoy it more than rice and quinoa, but not quite as much as your mom's ass.

"Flavored right" is the big thing. It's really bland if it's not flavored properly. I didn't like it for awhile because I'd only had it poorly made, but once I had some flavored properly I did appreciate the way that the texture played with the taste and complimented the meal (like the way good fried rice compliments Chinese food). Overall though, I've had bland couscous more often than good couscous so it's difficult to recommend.

Oddly enough, it's the only thing 'Israeli' that I can tolerate.

Persians think it is a delicacy, and compared to the other crap they eat, it is.

It's kind of bland so I have it with something heavy like brats then it balances out.

Another easy way to give it more taste is to use chicken bouillion or some other seasoned broth to cook it, instead of just plain water. A squeeze of lemon juice in the broth is good too.

Pretty tasty and easy to cook.
