I wouldnt want to live for ever. Unless I could somehow forget everyone I know dying around me, but even then I would eventually get bored with my time here and be ready to move on.

No I do not want to live for ever. ( assuming that nothing else around me, is granted this) because everything you love will always die. over and over again. I don't know how much of that shit I could take. I think that I may have missed the Core of your question. But no!!

Personally I would not want to live forever. Love would be pointless as you WILL see your SO die over and over every time you love. See your kids die, over and over as you procreate. Be without your mother and father so long you forget their voice, smell, feel. I would lose myself and want to end it. Love and family mean too much to me to watch the people I love die over and over. But that's just me, I could also understand that it would be really cool to see the world develop more and more throughout the centuries. That I would love.

I guess my question worded a bit strange. Every person on earth has the option to live as long as they want through the miracles of science. Your family could stay alive with you.

I think it would be awesome to live forever. I want to see what humanity becomes 2000 years from now. I want to see if we become what Frank Herbert illustrates in Dune. I want to be the Padishah Emperor.

Yeah, it would (hopefully) be better than this.

Of course I would like that. Who wouldn't?

Being able to choose the moment of your own death brings only benefits.

Reversing ageing would probably be the best option.

I want to live forever, I want my consciousness upon my death to be able to escape my body and then jump into another body. This way I can pick who I want to be, I do not have to worry about new identities and if everyone else dies I die too. Removes that wondering around the end of the world problem.
