I live in a farming area being gentrified by yuppie faggots with million dollar cookie cutter houses stacked on top of each other.

When the offers get better, I will move to further out. Fuck yuppies.

I like being able to blow shit up and shoot whever I like. When I no longer can, I will move again.

Not happy with urban or most suburban living at all. Too much noise, too many disputes with neighbors... That's why I live out in the desert on a 5 acre lot.

The nearest city to me, El Paso, has a rule for most neighborhoods that all properties have to be divided by rock walls. They don't have to be very tall even, could be short enough to just step over, but they're your demarc and it sure helps prevent arguments about who's supposed to mow where, etc.

The desert is always the best, she is a harsh mistress.

Also even these 10 million dollar houses are right next to each other. I can't imagine how fucking stupid you have to be to drop that sort of cash and not have even an acre. It's just look at me, look how great I am doing. My dream is to have a property big enough where I don't have to see any of my neighbors. The whole socialite lifestyle also seems to be about the last thing in the world I would want to do. Hang out with a bunch of cunts pretending my life is great and showing how rich and sophisticated I am.

You and me would both take land and privacy over the 10 million dollar homes you're referencing, but let's not kid ourselves, there are reasons to buy them. If you come up in the world by nepotism you probably want to live near your cohorts, which is exactly what they are paying the big bucks for. Hence areas like Manhattan, Kalorama D.C. , or Beverly Hills will always be in demand because corruption always needs a home. And frankly, those houses rarely "cost" the corrupt any money, they generally profit a few million from appreciation by the time all is said and done.

Then you have that moment when you twist an ankle and fall on the iron hard frozen ground and realize "I could die out here, alone" Farms have their darkside, like everything else.

Money does buy happiness though. It gives you security of knowing that you will be ok, ok if your car breaks down and needs major repairs, ok that you will make your mortgage payment on time, ok if you need home repairs, no problem if there is a luxury item you want to purchase.

I fucking hate you assholes that say money doesn't buy happiness. You would be even more miserable if you didn't have any.

You can have money without living in a "rich neighborhood". I can't blame him. You have bullshit like HOAs in many of those neighborhods

To be fair he didn't say he'd rather be poor. He said being around rich people was depressing. I think there's a study that shows having enough to meet your needs and a little more show higher satisfaction with life rates than being wealthy.

Money can buy happiness but it doesn’t necessarily do so. It only works for people who can actually be made happy in the first place.

Some people will be miserable fuckers regardless.

And some people use their money to buy a lifestyle that eventually makes them very unhappy, most often because it isolates them and humans are generally a social animal.

I say this as someone who is generally happy and who is definitely happy with my money situation. I know a lot of people as rich or richer than me who are not happy, though. Simply because they do not share the reasons for being unhappy that poor people have doesn’t mean they are happy. They are just unhappy for reasons other than shortage of money.

Friends are more valuable. Lot of rich folks on my island just learned that the hard way.

Why can't you be rich and have friends? Plenty of people do. Just befriend other rich people, surely that can't be hard. Some of us poorfags have a hard enough time being poor and even with friends it sucks. Money trumps friends easily, hands down.

It is really convenient that jews usually look indistinguishable from whites. Every time whites do something bad, you can just say they are jews and nobody will really bother to prove you wrong.
