They carry the "White Man's Burden".
Liberal train of thought: Those poor minorities won't make it unless us elite, special and enlightened people do something. And since I'm so special and elite, my stuff is too important to interrupt, so some poor people will have to do it. I'm glad I'm helping so much.

Now that we know that most ocean garbage comes from continental asian riverbeds, it's not surprising they'd have issues signing something they're not responsible for.
That being said, conservatives are just as guilty of this. Every time morals come up against science, passionate conservatives proclaim ignorance while voicing opposition to science (and no, I'm not talking about global warming bullshit). Conservatives tend to be passionate about good vs. evil, right vs. wrong, both as black-and-white sort of topics, while simultaneously believing they're the "white/right/good" side of the dichotomy (and if you tell them otherwise on Voat, you're a kike shill).
Liberal or Conservative, Libertarian or Authoritarian, you can't have a discussion, one where both sides come to an agreement or meeting of the minds, when you unwaveringly believe you're right, and the other person is wrong. All you can do is argue and turn your debate opponent into a caricature.

Liberals are idiots, but to be fair, reading any comments section of any article is a fast way to lose faith in humanity. Liberal comments are horrible, but I just as often wish people with whom I may even agree would just stop making comments. It makes everyone look idiotic.
