The Boo's weren't about him. The Boo's were about the fact that Knick Fans were disappointed by the pick especially when Justise Winslow, Willy Cauly-Stein, Emanuel Muliday, etc. were still on the board. These players were considered "NBA Ready" while Porzingis is considered 2 years away from being "NBA Ready" and is a huge risk because of the stigma of playing in Europe. Where The Boos the right thing to do to a 19 year old kid who has no say as to what team drafts him?, No but in the heat of passion as a Knick fan I totally understand why it happened.

I hope he does well in the league, I hate how the fans booed him when he was drafted. He seems like such a determined, hardworking guy.
