I used to feel the same way. For some reason I really love growing it and I love the history behind it. I'm a big lover of hominy, grits, popcorn, etc. And some sweet corn is good every now and then.
Moderation is the key. And yes, 99.9999999% of the corn grown in this country raping the planet and destroying our bodies. But from the garden it's quite nice.

I'd like to point out it's the chemicals not the plant that is causing the die off. Lots of plants are GMO the issue comes from the ones that are made to handle a massive dose of chemicals vs modified plants to grow in harsher climates.

Many of the GMO plants require tons of chemicals, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, etc just to grow at all. No wonder everything around them dies.

They require it to meet the yields they claim, but they'd grow without it.
