I remember when we had a local cheese plant, they would have fresh curds three times a week, Squeaky fresh and salted. It's hard to find fresh anymore, I can't stomach them packaged ones.

I know what you mean. I've found if you let them warm up for 30 minutes they get better.

They still taste like old mozzarella to me. Another person suggested that. Luckily The milk truck driver will bring fresh if I remember to give him some denero's

My wife is from the Midwest and she raves about these things. Says they aren’t right unless they squeak. Whatever that means

They sell a variety down here, but not that popular and she says they aren’t the real thing so I dunno.
