There's also the issue of fuel consumption. They have to drive pretty much everywhere. So there's all the issues involved with over farming land with singular crops to get their favorite junk foods/HFCS. That has to be shipped for processing. Then shipped again for distribution. Then fatty has to drive out to get it. Presumably just doing that circling thing in parking lots to spare them the horrors of even an extra minute of using their own legs instead of gas. Then the drive home. That's so much energy being used over and over and over again all over the country.

And on top of that, I think it severely hinders development of more environmentally friendly methods of production. Places that need it tend to lack means of research and development. Places which have them tend to have most of their agricultural model set up around branded packaged junk food. Fat people keep that from being a very profitable area for investors.

It's one of the things which really pushed me away from environmentalism as an 'ism'. You should be able to tell someone has put thought into the environment due to their lifestyle being significantly different from what's average in the overall culture/subculture. And it really isn't something that happens much.

This bothers me too. I don't understand why the goal is to eat more without consequence. The goal is supposed to be to learn to be satisfied with a normal amount. This idea completely ignores the fundamental problem and only tries to act as a band aid. This is like buying a helmet so it hurts less to smash your head against the wall instead of just stopping with the head smashing.

Not always. Sometimes you need to eat a significantly less than normal amount before you have to learn how to be satisfied with a normal amount. Remember the whole calories in/calories out thing. Eating a normal amount for your ideal body mass will result in only a slight weight loss for someone who is pretty close to being a normal human (obviously it's going to make a huge difference for an obeast, but that's a different case).

Fats are the worst offenders of environmental destruction (in terms of factory farming and whatnot) because they not only eat far more than what they need, they also eat the worst kinds of food. As you go up in tropic levels you increase the amount of requisite energy to produce the same amount of food, not to mention the CO2 emitted from the transport and everything else in the process. Because shitty processed food is the most calorie-dense while also being very low in satiety, it has a significant carbon footprint. Who consumes that shitty processed food? Fat people.

And on top of that the shitty food tends to come from the same few crops. Fine for the short term. But the importance of crop rotation got drilled into the US pretty hard at one point. I doubt we're in any real danger of a new dust bowl. But there's a whole host of reasons why you shouldn't treat crops worse than you would a potted plant.

Nah, just plant corn every year. What could go wrong?

Weight loss pills can be very helpful. They just need to be used responsibly. Sure, you screwed up, got injured, ate too much, need to lose a few pounds. It happens. Take some shit for getting fat, and lose the weight. The problem is that you have to literally starve yourself. It's unpleasant, but you should pay some penance so you don't do it again. But what gets to be the real issue is that you get slow and lethargic. You are short of energy and it's a pain to exercise, you're significantly more likely to hurt yourself. Taking some mild uppers that are a half step above a basic nutritional supplement can help it be safer. So don't look down on EVERYONE who uses some kind of weight loss aid pill. Just most of them.

Good thing they don't work, but sadly obesity doesn't kill people quickly enough.

Suggest cigarettes as a weight loss method. Or is that some Big Tobacco lie? Stimulants may also be good for weight loss. Suggest meth, amphetamines, cocaine.

Good thing that the only ones that usually actually work (atleast of what i heard) heat the body up, to quite literally burn the calories or fuck you otherwise heavily over, so that they are really dangerous and potentially fatal, and idk about you guys, but a greedy piglet less suckin on mother earths drying teats sounds good to me.
