That happened to me, not the eating part. In college there was a guy with the same make, model, and year of my car. Same color too. Only thing different was he had a tail fin in the back (on the trunk) and I didn’t.
My class let out early and I went to his car. My key actually worked. I was about to leave in his car when I noticed that the backseat was different, and even my rear view mirror was different. Once I realized it wasn’t my car, I was like “oh shit!”, got out, locked his door, got into my car and drove home.
This was back in 2006/2007 and our cars were the really basic 2005 models that had manual windows and old school dashboards lol
