I think people get lulled into a false sense of security, figuring that even if the info is being sent somewhere, it's probably being sent to some noble hero who's serving the best interests of the people, like Captain America or any Bruce Willis character, rather than some obnoxious corrupt rich dude like Martin Shkreli or Dan Snyder.
Disclaimer: I'm going to disagree with you as If I somehow Have More justification For my answer than you do... I don't.
Nah man, They Just Think
it's not gonna happen to me...if I'm not doing anything wrong, I have nothing to worry about, Regardless of Where this information ends up... And furthermore, if they are collecting everyone's information, What are the chances that my information is ever analyzed by a human... And if they're not doing anything wrong it shouldn't matter if some AI is analyzing the information.
But Think about it.... Do you Look at porn? Of Course you Do. You know that Data is being collected... You know that It would be embarrassing if somehow the World found out that you enjoy getting your rocks off watching Interracial gang bangs... But you continue to do It.
When you're Waking off To midget porn, I doubt You're under the assumption That your information is secure.
Yet we do it.
My point is..... Well, I guess I don't really have a point. I'm Just sayin'....

Put a small piece of electrical tape over your devices camera and microphone ecspecially your kids.
I was with a friend yesterday who complained about her back hurting. About 15 minutes later she gets a phone call from some robocall from a "chronic pain clinic" and that they had learned that she was suffering from pain. An Alexa, ipad, and iphone were all in the room. I told her what I thought, I hope here husband sees this story.

"I felt invaded," Danielle told KIRO-TV. "A total privacy invasion. Immediately I said, 'I'm never plugging that device in again, because I can't trust it.'"
How fucking stupid do you have to be to buy a product whose sole function relies entirely on listening to you 24/7 and then be surprised when it does just that?
