Yeah, I've really been wanting to get the truck on some trails now that I've taken the box of the back. I have to wait until I replace the tires because they're all dry rotted but June has 3 paydays so between that and an amended taxes with an additional refund, I should have that taken care of in the next month or so.
I don't know a LOT about Jeeps but I do know that Jeep made my series truck for a while too. I can't imagine that the tech and mechanics are all that different. Why do you ask?

I put the word out (at a weekly/seasonal car show that I frequent) that I'm in the market for an HMMWV that's in acceptable condition. There are lots, but few are in acceptable condition - for me.
Anyhow, one of them emailed me a few days ago and said they have a buddy that's in serious need of cash. They have a 1944 Willy's that's fully restored and their asking price is $15,000. He suggests I can walk in with 10k in cash and own it, complete with the trailer it usually rides on. (It's a trailer queen.)
I know zero about the market and I'd only be interested in buying it to sell it later on - or to trade it for something I'd actually like. I was hoping you'd know about it, so I don't have to go ask around in random forums.

44 willy’s. Whoo, that sounds nice. Not sure about that price though.
My truck sells anywhere from $2500 to $16,000 in excellent condition depending on the local market. You might check out SteelSoldiers forum. They’ll have the info you need for your area.
But fully restored with the trailer. Make sure it has the extended driveshaft. Other than that, if it makes you happy, it’s worth it just to be able to put it in car shows.
Edit: if you DO get it and decide to sell, hit me up. Depending on when and finances, I might well be interested
