Yeah, lets remember how the PS1 made gaming easy, as such invited all the morans into the gaming industry, and ruined video games for everyone.
Death to consoles.

PS1 had twin memory cards to share savings with friends, fucking idiot.

SNES/Genesis era was the only era where consoles definitely beat PC's. NES was decent but just like the Atari it was nothing compared to the old school arcade scene.
It was a real bitch saving up to get a decent gaming PC in the late 90's, but with piracy and a huge appetite for gaming it was relatively cheaper and better. The internet culture was a lot edgier then too, closer to Voat than Facebook. Normies ruined the fun in the 00's. Sigh...

Normies is how degenerated perverts call normal people, illiterate imbecile.
i just got a ps1 out of a storage unit. ANyone familiar with disc swap? how do i swap disc from music menu? or is there a easier way?
[–] WhatDaDuce ago
I don't know, I thought you had to disc swap after the Sony bootup on an actual game disc.
I think that is how it is done bit I'm too lazy to Google that for you.

on ps1 you could remove the game disc for a lot of games after the level loaded and throw any cd in to play your own music. headsets could be used to communicate in online games (online games had been on console already (albeit without voice communication) but it was niche and ps1 helped make it more mainstream).

Did you ever play Monster Rancher? The game would actually have you take out the CD from the playstation and put another one in it so it could read it and then it would spawn you a new monster based on the disc data. It could be any kind of CD like music or other games. I went through every CD I owned lol.

Monster rancher was the shit

Quake 2 on PC used CD audio as well. Probably other PC games did but that's the only one I ever noticed.
