I go to bed before 10:30 PM and get up at around 6:30 PM every day, even on the weekend when I'm not working. Best decision I've ever made; I pretty much always feel rested and with the routine in place, going to sleep and waking up is easy peasy lemon sqeezy.

Not long ago humans had a different sleepcycle, or two sleeps in a night. We went to bed around 18-19 woke up around 24:00, stayed up for some hours, then slept again from 4-5 till morning. So what you are experiencing is returning to a natural sleepcycle and that screws thing up.
