In other words, it was all good until it helped someone get elected that they hated.

Fucking hypocrites.

I love how, no matter how many of us explain that we voted for Trump because the other candidates did not represent us, it all boils down to 'Trump won because this of this bad thing - and we need to change it!'

Trump did not win by appealing to 'Islamaphobes', Trump won because Bernie Sanders wanted tax payers to foot the bill for BS college degrees and Hillary Clinton is just a terrible person. Trump wants people to fucking work, Bernie says people don't have to work, Hillary says whatever she thinks we want her to say because she's a legacy and NEEDS to be president to get money to the wealthy people who tried to buy her campaign for her.

I like how the gist of this article is "we thought we could use the Internet to usher in the New World Order, not destroy it!"

This is a stupid article. I was expecting something along the lines of people saying they should have built anonymity in to the internet from the start. This was just someone blaming the internet for people not agreeing with their political views.

Yep. This is trash. Arguably what went wrong with the internet is allowing the government to regulate it and allowing mass information scraping from social media corporations and the government.

They did nothing wrong. The fault lies with human nature.
