Seriously. I'm pretty financially stable but a few years ago I took out a $20,000 loan because I hadn't had a loan payment on anything but my home for a few years. Maintaining my credit score is what I was after. This is all I was doing, I had the cash in the bank but I wanted to make sure I paid just enough shekels to the jew so that he'd put a digital happy face on my scorecard.
They made me jump through fucking hoops. Lots and lots of fucking hoops. I had been at this bank for ........??? 23 years and I had to sign away my first born as collateral. 12 months later I paid the balance off.
Why not instead just use a few credit cards and pay off your balances in full every month? That's what I do without a mortgage or any other loans and I still have a very high good goy score.

You got a loan to keep playing the credit score game?

Yes. Think what you want but credit is an important part of life.
