John Wick. Long Hot Summer. The Patriot. Shawshank Redemption. True Grit. Any western with Clint Eastwood.
Those came to mind first.

If you feel like crying -- but in the best way possible -- watch "Your Name", 2017. Do it with zero research or preparation; that's how I saw it and that's how it's best.

I second Moon and Life Aquatic.
[–] Crawdadie17 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
yea those are really good movies. i must have seen them both 20 times.

Snowpiercer took me by surprise at just how good of a watch it was.
Moon made me mildly aroused at the concept of lunar mining, Then made me want to tear up at the ending.
Sunshine was a great space adventure movie, But I can't say I really enjoyed the transition to a semi-horror movie at the end. I would've preferred another 3rd act motivator or storyline.
[–] Crawdadie17 ago
yea the horror part of sunshine was shit. if it wasn't in there it would be a perfect movie.

hey no problem. if you like blazing saddles or are a fan of ridiculous comedy like that in general you'll probably like kung pow enter the fist. if i can think of any more ill just keep replying to this thread. oh coherence is a good one its a severely low budget sci fi film that makes up for the lack of money with a great premise and ending.

John Wick, Three Days to Kill, Law abiding citizen.

John Wick is good, OP.
Watch the sequel too if you like the first or just cool gun play. The catacombs scene alone makes it worth it.
