The only problems I've ever had with it is that occasionally when I email people it will end up in their spam folder, which isn't surprising honestly. Never had things fail to send. I like Protonmail quite a bit.

They're also really prompt with support, by the way. Did you try emailing them about the problems you've had?

Same here. I've used it extensively and never had any real issue. OP is probably one of those "i've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas" kind of people

I've never had an issue with ProtonMail.

I have a signficiant amount of experience with Enterprise e-mail administration, and the only time ProtonMail has ever delivered items to my "spam" box is when the sending server had either a misconfigured reverse DNS or a bad DKIM signature. In all of those cases if I manually remove the object to the inbox it whitelists it in the future automatically (unlike Gmail..).

ProtonMail does it's job correctly and follows best practices for e-mail routing to prevent me from receiving things I don't wish to see. Additionally, it's higher level of security (due to it being a secure service by design) has allowed it to catch things Gmail would have let slip through.

This sounds like the issue exists between the keyboard and chair. I suggest you go back to Gmail if you aren't technically competent enough to handle a real e-mail service.

Between Protonmail and Protonmail it may work. But the issues here are between ProtonMail and other mails. I think it is related to bad networks. It is not normal that image is sent through ProtonMail Android app and it ends up delivered without the attachment but with the text.

I remember that up until end of 2017 ago it worked pretty stable but last few months many missed mails that are indicated a sent, but never delivered. The email is correct because I get a reply on the first message and any other replies I now send end up into a black hole. It is in my ProtonMail account sent box but never delivered. Also not in the recipients spam box.

It is no point in being secure if randomly fails te deliver or receive.

I use the ProtonMail android app and never have an issue sending multiple attachments a day, both in-line and as attachments.

It's quite possible your recipient is getting the e-mail stripped as a security policy at either the mail server or client system level (antivirus, etc).

Ultimately no centralized email service can be trusted to act in the interest of it's customers. Everyone should run their own email servers and self-host everything. Unfortunately home/residential IP addresses are blacklisted by almost all "pro" email providers so you either have to host on a remote server (I use a VPS) or use a remote sendmail agent like http://ghettosmtp.com/ which provides free outgoing smtp for your home mailserver.

I've been running my own mailserver for almost 5 years now. It was a hassle to set up but what I learned was definitely worth it. And since the first couple months it's run without me touching it at all. A couple times I've been added to the blacklist of big companies. Once by MS's Office365 mailservers. But after I found an internal phone number to call I was able to fix that within a day.

Not everyone can or even wants to run their own mail server. In reality, sometimes you compromise some security for usability. In fact, I would argue that unless people really do their homework and understand how to configure it, they could be more at risk than using a secure email service like protonmail.

So you have issues sending and receiving mail. Interesting. I have been using it for 2 or 3 years, paid, and no problems. It is my primary email.

Sorry you’re having issues op, I’ve had no problems personally.

Never had an issue with protonmail. Been there since beta version. It was a little flaky at first but it's pretty much my main email at this point.

Could be or couldn't be. Worst case probabilistically is that the dates being recorded to be searched later based on it's priority. 99%+ are just chicken shits buying drugs or selling porn illegally.

Anytime with any kind of actual financial pivot IS and always will be tracked & targeted actively. Not even if they're a threat to party A, but because that financial energy source might be tapped by party B, which is a threat.

This highlights the importance of certain cryptocurrencies getting out and about these days, a major unfolding field

I haven't had any issues with protonmail. I only use the browser version though - I don't have the app.
