American Reloading sells 62gr 556 tracer projectiles if you wish to load your own for a fraction of the cost, as others have said they are a lot of fun and are ideal for when you're trying to corner the Dorner with fire

Havent ever tried tracers. How visible are they in daylight?

You can see them but you have to be extremely careful with these things. They are known to easily start fires. I live near a desert and foothills and wouldn’t even consider buying them.

Tracers are definitely visible day or night. As others have mentioned though, be mindful of their fire-starting tendencies. Many indoor ranges prohibit them for that reason.
