Headline:
Advocates decry public shaming after video of daylight Calgary parking-lot threesome posted online
Further down the page:
But women’s advocates say the issue isn’t just about the three people and how their privacy has been violated through the public posting.
Gods know that I'm am a huge fan of personal privacy, and I'm certainly no fan of public shaming (unless politicians are involved ;-) ) but as soon as you engage in any - and I do mean any - activity in a public space you have surrendered your privacy with regard to that activity.

I have been cringing a lot while reading comments for the original post and the reposts. I like how this article puts a microscope to the issue that matters.
There’s been a lot of shaming of the woman, and then a lot of high-fiving for the men. There’s a tone of misogyny in so many of the comments I’ve read

Umm... If you fuck in public than don't cry if someone uploads it to the Internet. I could understand if someone was standing outside a private residence making videos and uploading them, but, if you want to do "brave and careless" acts in public you should be prepared to receive the attention of the public.

NO. As the person holding the camera, you have a decision to make, an inflection point.
You escalate the situation by submitting it to public media, and frankly I think you'd be way more disgusting of a person than three people dogging it behind a dumpster.
SOCIAL MEDIA JUSTICE IS SANDLOT JUSTICE.

I was implying more along the lines that if an individual doesn't want to have something like this out there, than they shouldn't be doing these types of acts in public in the first place. Sorry, it has been several days now since I was on this thread but in the end I agree with what you are saying. There are a lot of people out there that are posting things like this on the internet and they aren't doing it for "Justice" though. At the end of the day, it's almost stupid to have to say, what happens in public will become public knowledge one way or another. You watched it the same as I did, therefor we share in the same guilt as the guy putting it up. If no one watched these things there wouldn't be the demand out there for people to take it to such an extreme level.

I could see that point but in the end if you want to commit acts in public you have to understand the pubic doesn't have the same exact reaction all over the world. People who were raised with some sort of "morals" might say the same thing that you are saying. Others, prefer to not hide their true emotions behind a veil of morality and instead say it as it is based on their own perspectives. In their perspective she probably is a slut or a whore and them speaking their mind should not be criticized if that is truly how they see it. In the end I look at it more that if that individual would honestly say it to them on the street they should say it the same online. I do feel there are a lot of people that hide behind the internet as a shield though and do a lot of trolling on these comments and they would never dare act that way in public. I was raised that, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all". However as time has gone on I feel more inline with, "Speak your mind but respect other's' opinions".

Sweet fuck some people are dumb. Fuck in public and you deserve to have your picture on a billboard shaming you.
