Another symptom of feminism. Women acting like men, taking a step that’s usually reserved for couples without there being a “couple”. They’re either not looking for a man to buy them a house, or they have such inflated expectations for men that none live up to their standard. This is destruction of the family.

Or they fully bought into feminism, grew too worn out to be useful marriage material, and ended up in her mid 30s without a husband, working her life away at a job she hates, with 2 cats and no hope of not getting her face eaten by said cats once she chokes on her wine soaked vomit in bed after a hard night of drinking and vicodin.

Nail on the head. All the single female home owners I know are broken women in their 30s or 40.

I also know a few 25 year old women who are buying big houses.

I presume men still want to be in a relationship when investing into a property. Family, procreation and all that stuff. A single man rents because they need very little: food, alcohol and TV. Once in a relationship the atmosphere changes to a family oriented ideas. My husband was plenty satisfied living in a single bedroom flat, but once things got serious and talk of family started he was more then willing to purchase a home. Single women who have no drive to be a mothers or have a stable relationship with a man, will try to prove to people around them how well they are after sacrificing what it means to be a woman.

Single dude: I purchased a house because it was cheaper than continuing to pay rent.

Mortgage vs rent, pay 500 and no sting attached, buy a house, pay taxes, maintenance, and so on. I mean each situation has a positive and a negative aspect to it. So if the purchase of the house puts you in a better financial situation then why the hell not.

I knew a girl who bought a house thinking her boyfriend would help her pay and the he never did. I think they were going out for many years before that and just over a year after the house.

Alternate title: Why the housing market will crash again, and this time it will be worse than ever before.

I'm sorry, I just don't believe in "owning" something that is immobile. If I can't take it with me... do I really own it?

This is why I'm into tiny houses. Not because of the "eco-friendly" bullshit, or because I want to use all-organic hand-grown lumber or whatever the fuck those idiots like to ramble about. But because I can hook that bitch up to a truck and be four states away overnight.

Buy a fucking trailer! "Tiny "dick" Houses is virtue signaling bullshit that costs twice as much for no reason

...like I said, I understand the community is retarded, but honestly it seems like a pretty damn solid idea to me.

You can set the damn things up to run under their own power, like permanently off-grid. You don't have a whole lot of electrical need, so solar with a decent battery bank can get you by. Rain catchment for your water supply (and I've looked a bit into mini-hydro - it's a thing that's doable, which can augment the solar). Compost toilet.

I don't want to do it for virtue-signalling, I want to do it as a way of preparing for potential societal collapse. Also it'd be nice to, if necessary, just fuck off into literally the middle of nowhere with modern amenities.
