I didn't remember the site's name after vaguely hearing about it's creation. I just signed up as a new member.

LinusTechTips is working on ‘floatplane’, a youtube alternative
I’m really hopeful that it takes off. I think theyre trying to orchestrate a walk out of sorrs from several tech youtube channels

He should call it SoyTechTips.

That would imply that you would be welcome there though.

Why not just use BitChute?
Edit, Minds, GabTV, & DTube are already things.

Because none of those took off well.
I think for these sites to really gain an audience, it has to take off. A good way to do that would be getting several uploaders to upload on floatplane first/ exclusively.
If one guy you follow leaves youtube, it’s a slight annoyance. If 50% of your shows leave, you will probably leave too.

Someone needs to make a competitive site called "GunTube" where it's STRICTLY gun enthusiasts posting on it .

Gun/ammo companies should sponsor this site and channels on this site.

i just wish it was a bit more robust, i hope they can get some more capital and improve the infrastructure behind it.
[–] Raider1v11 ago
they really need a backer to help them with the infrastructure. other than that; its great!

Looks like someone is smart to create a channel for enthusiasts.
