Buy a simple laser printer such as Brother models. Never buy ink anymore. Until the business model dries out.
Further back, companies such as Epson bought out almost all companies manufacturing great quality printer hardware with reasonably priced ink options. Others they drove out of business by offering cheap printer hardware at-cost. Was no markup for printers, most people would just go for the cheaper option, companies folded. Then the price of ink was pushed through the roof.
That business model needs to be allowed to go fuck itself. Stop buying the ink. Let it go fuck itself.
At the least buy a cartridge chip zapper from shanghai. And buy cheap ink. Learn to drill a hole in the cartridge and re-fill to cut costs. Simple procedure just need to go for it.

Black Angus Bull is up there too.
Most expensive Black Angus bull ever sold in Montana goes for $350000 at Malta auction. ... “Usually a bull like that will sell semen anywhere from $30 a straw to $50 a straw,” said Jared Murnin, general manager of ORIgen. A “straw” is the amount of bull semen necessary to impregnate a single cow.

Companies and government departments need to produce a standard for printer ink cartridges. Since they are allegedly price goring us the industry will hate. However after a delay the printer manufacturers will produce printers that use it. The ink makers will sell their ink in those cartridges. Competition will eventual reduce prices.

As much of a scam as diamonds.
