I have been working in the valley for twenty years or so : never ever let your guards down ; being paranoid is an essential survival skill ; especially in those shops that keep talking about ‘company culture’ with regular ‘team building’ outings and trendy offices and such (the more ‘warm and fuzzy they try to look, the worse they are) ; also, HR is not your friend (best case scenario), and if you are a straight white male (worst case scenario) HR is the enemy ; you don’t necessarily have to keep a lawyer on retainer, though it wouldn’t be such a bad idea, but at least know whom to call...

Team building events are dangerous moments. Other moments are company parties where alcohol is served.

I also saw many folders from HR to combat burn-outs. They give contact details if you feel a bit down. Never contact them, it is a trap to get any people that tend to feel weak fired. Someone with a burn-out is very expensive for a company, so hey prefer to get you fired before you get sick.

Surfing the Internet is also a dangerous thing. I always do it with a mobile phone and a VPN.

company parties

On this subject, don’t fuck (or worse, unsuccessfully try to fuck) any co-worker (even contractors, temps and/or interns by the way);

I haven’t always followed this advice and did date one or three colleagues back in the day, when I was still younger and clueless, but that was foolish as heck and I got really lucky to get away with it...

My life has gotten noticeably better since I got Facebook out of my life. If a girl tells me she doesn’t have a Facebook it immediately adds a point to how attractive I find her

My wife doesn't. Didn't even "quit" social media; she never used it to begin with. Locked that shit up, real quick. It felt like what I imagine it to be like to find a unicorn.

They're called shadow accounts. Depending your friends activity on facebook they can even include your address and phone number linked to all pictures you're in.

Does Mark Zuckerburger's "Secret Police " know that there's a Pedophile Hangout not far from Marks new Hawaiian Property? Just go out Marks front gate make a left toward the airport.. you'll see it on the left there about 1/4 mile away. Maybe they didnt notice ,. but WE did. Where WE go ONE, WE go ALL.

This is a quality article and communicates much relevant info beyond what is contained in the headline.
