No it doesn't. How does it give it more power? If anything, it gives it less power by not mentioning it's name. By doing that, the site will get less traffic by curious users. Fuck that place.

True, fuck that place. But it should become a name like Digg or 9gag. We don't avoid those, and they are a joke. If I have to stop myself from saying it, then it has a little power over me because I fear pissing off the mass. Fuck that too. They should all see it as a joke. Ooh, or maybe an insult like, "What are you? A redditor?"

EDIT: added comma after "avoid those"

Well those are actually good points. I can agree with that.

Digg and 9gag were known for being unoriginal. sadly, I never been to digg but I've known of them because of their repeated spam content.. and 9gag was just becoming terribad because their content became sour. Reddit nowadays.. is becoming a serious hugbox and if I wanted something like that I would have gone to tumblr, which is a place I would avoid.

"Call him Voldemort, Harry. Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself." Sorry, that's the first thing that I thought of. But yeah, I agree with you. There's not much point in ignoring reddit's name, we all know what's happening, and we all know what that site is. It will fade into obscurery or become a joke like it's predecessors if it doesn't shape up quickly. For now, since almost everyone knows what reddit is, we should use its name as we criticize and mock it.
