Real functional strength.

Can you imagine? 3 guys, taking shifts, that structure would be together in the time it took for that guy to pull his jackhammer out of the truck.

That's cool. The guy with the hammer isn't going to have a backbone left after a few years of swinging a hammer like that. People forget that power tools aren't necessarily though made to be faster all of the time.

That reminds me of John Henry and the Steam Drill.

John Henry died at the end of it.

Yeah, if that guy keeps it going the way he is in the gif he might die, too.

I wonder what they are building. That is some MAJOR wood

A structure that isn't a piece of shit. If I'm a developer building 25 units on a subdivided farm I just bought everything will be framed in 1x3 and slapped together as cheap as possible. With fresh siding and shingles and roll out lawn I will sell it for exactly the same price as a properly built house, in fact more cause I can slap in a bay window and 5 extra bedrooms since those ^^^ the price. If I'm building a structure for myself that I intend to use in 25 years I'm going have a totally different set of criteria. This is why tract homes (especially those constructed after ~1975) are shit.
Also if your not going for blinding fucking speed. You should be sliding your hand up that shaft on your upswing to get better leverage as your bringing the weight up the hammer up then just let it fall let the hammer do the work. These guys swinging it like its a fucking sword.
All, these reddit kiddies who have never worked a day of construction and have never used a sledge. Bonus points if ya think that guy is gunna last all day at that pace.

Using a sledgehammer like that is A LOT of work. Do concrete work if you want practice or slam rods into rail road ties. It looks like they are building a sweet cabin.
