Did you know there were women taxi drivers? They didn't drive at night. They did clerical work too. Every neighborhood had a seamstress working out of their home. Jobs like that only came to be considered lowly and beneath dignity in the 1980s when the boomers were all grown up and credit cards became ubiquitous. They were told that thinking jobs were the future and only thinking jobs. So they raised their kids to believe that they were going to be professional, white collar thinkers and everything else was garbage, only fit for immigrants.

They've also lost all of their real power. They concocted the culture from their homes. They made the social standards and determined what was acceptable. They took guidance from husbands and clergy and that was important for setting parameters. They also cooked from scratch so obesity was rare.
Feminism was the worst thing for women, their children and their husbands, so everyone.
