They have a population of ~24 million. We have a population of 350 million.
They will have drastically less of every single event ever simply because there are less chances of it happening.

Less of every single event, except for death by wildlife. Or maybe being called a cunt.

This. Off the top of my head, there are many other reasons why it works here and why it never would in the US. Australia has secure borders, more sparse population distribution, almost no government subsidies for city dwelling (the well-off live in the cities), a relatively thorough welfare system, relatively few blacks, a more homogenous culture (east and west coast are not much different) and non-whites consist mostly of Asians, Indians, Polynesians and Lebanese. Basically the community is more cohesive and united. People are still shot all the time, but it's mostly criminals shooting each other. My sister in law was an ER nurse at the largest hospital in Australia for 8 years. She said gunshot wounds are common, much more than the news would have you believe.

That is a damn good argument, more ammo(pun intented) for my counter arguments. Thanks.

2 Main points I think, since the start of the gun ban down under:
"That same year in the state of Victoria, there was a 300 percent increase in homicides committed with firearms. The following year, robberies increased almost 60 percent in South Australia. By 1999, assaults had increased in New South Wales by almost 20 percent. Two years following the gun ban/confiscation, armed robberies rose by 73 percent, unarmed robberies by 28 percent, kidnappings by 38 percent, assaults by 17 percent and manslaughter by 29 percent, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics."
"violent crime rates only began to decrease years later, as guns returned to Australian hands against the wishes of the politicians writing the laws."
UK has similar stats.

Me?! Socialist?! How dare you sir. I might disagree by what you have just said but will defend to the death for you to say it ;-. Thanks for the info though.

Sure, goodonya to all that. EXPLORE the relationship between the freedom of a people to arm themselves as an inverse to any other freedoms they may be allowed to enjoy... Most lefties have a Utopian idea of what government of the world should look like, and it usually very closely resembles a child's conception of the world, absent human nature, or insight of any kind.

Wow, I have never heard of this, thanks for it.

Listen mate, we have had at least 13 mass shootings since the Port Arthur massacre. The news here is as fake as in the US/Europe. Maybe that's why you seem to think that all is fine and dandy down here.

God damn, what mass shooting have they been. God damn google won't bring them up.
