Heh... I have been thinking about getting one. The 1LE is delightful, from the specs and reviews. I've driven a buddy's ZL1. It was rather nice. It was surprisingly easy to drive and remarkably comfortable.

At one point, I thought about asking Voat's opinions but I decided that wasn't likely to be productive. It'd be the first new American car that I've bought 20 years. I'm a BMW fan, for my daily driver. My truck is American. My last new American car was my midlife crisis car, which was a Viper. I had that for about two years until my kids decided they wanted to come live with me.

The ZL1 is nothing like that. The Viper was just brutal. It was actually hard to take off without causing wheel spin. The ZL1 was the 10 speed automatic, which is a fantastic gearbox. It was a joy to drive and I usually dislike automatics.

So, I didn't ask Voat because I don't think anyone here is qualified to opine.

But, I'll notice. I'll watch the race this weekend. I prefer other racing styles, but that's what will be on. If I get the chance, I'll make a thread in v/Motorsport for it.

I'm sure it's a fine car and I have heard that the Viper was not for the faint of heart. I haven't driven a modern sports car, or anything with that kind of firepower.

I did drive the new f150 with the 10 speed. It was impressive.

As for the race, I'll tune in. In keeping with my consolidation theory, I'll ask, why not post the race thread here? v/cars has the most subscribers of the auto subs (granted, most may not be alive today).

Trying to help the guy make it active, more or less. Here would work, too.

My daily driver is a 6 series. It's only 445 ponies. The truck is an F-250 and it's delightful.
