Everyone tries to tell thats how it works but the physics dont add up.How does the metal convert heat to infrared radiation?You just changed the wavelength that should add more heat.Actual physics does not support this theory.if this would work the shuttles would not have carried additional(weight) water to dump for heatsink purpose do you understand.

BLACK BODY radiation. Not only metal but all materials emit radiation when they are above 0 Kelvin.

Yes,they can emit when there is a medium to convey the heat dont you understand.Without changing wavelength to ir and without a medium to transfer to you cant get rid of the heat.
