We've had helicopters forever. If one knows how to fly a helicopter, why would he get this instead? (helicopter= more range)

They showed how simplified the controls are.
Up/down, rotate, and pitch. Other than that it's automated.
A helicopter is much more difficult to fly.

Ease of use and possibly cheaper and less maintenance. Flying helicopters is hard and they crash relatively often.
