I sit on my ass all the time, too. I'm still the same size I was in high school, 20+ years ago. The key is eating less.
I know unsolicited advice is a pain in the ass, downvoat accordingly.

Then you're still eating too much. You cannot ignore the laws of physics; you are fat because you eat too much. Full stop. You can try to lie to us all you want, but in the end: you're only lying to yourself.
Until you can accept that, nothing will ever change.

You don't need to be active to lose weight. Energy doesn't make it's way into your mouth on its own.
Get into the habit of a routine. Make a permanent change to your diet. It's not a verb. There is no end date
