It would be played, but not given complete attention. So, it'd have a nice home and would be well maintained, though not played as often as it might like/deserve. My Martin collection (this is intentionally vague) numbers in the double digits. It'd get a very nice home, if it came to live here.
I'd also probably not haggle with him over the price. The offered price is very reasonable and he's already offered a discount from his standard price. It is well worth the price he's asking.
Sometime, I'll grab a few pics and PM them to you. I don't really feel comfortable posting them to the public site as it's a bit embarrassing. I've a fairly substantial collection of guitars. Like, an embarrassing number of them. That's why I often post about the specific guitar that I'm playing in the recordings that I share. They are unique sounds and tonal qualities, as well as being better for some styles than for others.
My only saving grace is that I'm a bit of a neat freak - otherwise, I'd be on some hoarding reality show, in need of an intervention. I do own guitars that I've only played a few times.
Ah well... Some day, they will go to my son.

I probably have a dozen guitars, I haven't counted them. And that doesn't really seem like very many to me. Where to someone who doesn't play it probably seems like a whole lot. But like you say, they all have their place. Some songs just sound better on one guitar than it does on the others

Yup. I'm pretty grateful that I also have a dislike for clutter. Everything has a place and I put stuff back where I picked it up. I hate having to look for something. I have my most frequently played guitars hanging on the wall or on stands - but those all have cases. The rest are in cases and on shelves. I have tote boxes full of gear, and they're all labeled. I have big gear tucked in the back and put in the order that I'm most likely to want to take it out. If I didn't do this, it'd be a mess.
