Who the fuck green lighted this?

If the pricepoint is low enough, then it becomes genius. Not right, but still smart. The cardboard will have to be changed out over time, this will make a steady stream of income for Nintendo. Also, the cost to produce will be incredibly low and it's gimmicky enough that a lot of people will buy into it. But I give it about 3 months after it launches and we'll start seeing 3d printed versions coming out.

it could be cool, but the video worries me. it looks very carefully designed to obfuscate very restricted and fragile products. I would not be surprised to find out that these things aren't really useable.
It's like... diy novelty shelf pieces? Unless the video was giving me the wrong impression.

its a cheap novelty guys, not the next generation console...lighten up, it will make them a few bucks and something neat and cheap may surprise you. PS it seems mainly geared to kids...that backpack thing could be super fun for a 9 year old and last as long as that interest will, not costing mom-and-dad an arm and a leg for something he'll soon loose interest in anyway.

That's pretty ridiculous if it's accurate
