How an A.I. ‘Cat-and-Mouse Game’ Generates Believable Fake Photos - The New York Times
'By identifying common patterns in thousands of car photos, for instance, a neural network can learn to identify a car. '
'Today, many systems generate images and sounds using a complex algorithm called a neural network. '
'But it can also work in the other direction: It can use those patterns to generate its own car photos. '
'DeepMind, a London-based A.I. lab owned by Google, is exploring technology that can generate its own videos. '
'The system can also generate realistic images of horses, buses, bicycles, plants and many other common objects. '

Shit like this is another reason I'm glad most leftists were given a serious blow to their long-term plans. As cool as the tech is, there are many ways it can be put to nefarious purposes, and they'd be the main ones to do it.
