Starset is a great rock band. They're pretty recent, but their album Transmissions is amazing. Link to the album

Depends on what you're into.

Progressive Metal? Protest The Hero, Between the Buried and Me, Animals As Leaders.

Something more symphonic? Woodkid.

Post-rock? Collapse The Empire, Explosions in the Sky.

All around great bands? Circa Survive, mewithoutYou, Architects.

Just to name a few.

Little advice from someone who was in your shoes not too long ago. I started listening to Billy Joel Radio on Pandora it makes a solid classic mix and really lifts me up. I drive to it, lift weights to it, and when I can't sleep at night it's enjoyable. Hope this helps :)

BT is amazing--he's a classically trained musician with a passion for electronic music.

Calexico is Southwestern indie-folk rock, and also heartily recommended.
