I just searched 'burning cars usa new years'. I didn't find any cases of people burning cars in the USA to celebrate the New Year (if that happens, it's not being reported), but those search terms pulled up lots of accounts of what's happening in France.

It went quite well since the ruling class was not inconvenienced. They don't park on the street and don't live near rapeugees.

It isn't Macron's car that will be torched.

To be fair they're comparing it to how they expect it to go next, which is utterly horrific.

If they do this every year, why do people still park their cars on the street that night? Seems like they'd have some kind of protected lots for the occasion by now.

There's a business opportunity for some frog right there.
