Texas BBQ. Beef brisket slow smoked with mesquite. Beef ribs too if they are cut right and have real meat on them. Texas BBQ doesn't consider pork as a primary BBQ item but pork ribs aren't bad if they are done right. Serve it all up with some mustard potato salad, pinto beans, some good cornbread and cold beer and you've got a great meal.

I make that a lot. I even do it in the oven and add a little liquid smoke. I use those little colored bell peppers that look like regular peppers and they are sweet.

Didn't think to do that in the oven... Good idea, thanks! These little guys? I could eat bell peppers raw...

The only BBQ I've ever had is pulled pork sandwiches and baby back ribs
I didn't even know there were different kinds of BBQ according to cities. Always thought there was just American, Mexican, and Korean. What should I be trying? I like spicy and sweet

The Japanese follow the Korean style. But they have their own style that uses lamb too.
I am more of a suace style guy and like the Kansas style over Memphis. But their is a time and place for both.

I still can't believe I'm finding out about all of these BBQs just now. I had no idea Memphis and Kansas styles even existed let alone Texas or whatever. What are the main differences between each area?
I didn't even know the Japanese did BBQ like that. Got a lot of catching up to do it seems.
