If Blackberry or Nokia would have made a big push with Android when it was new, either one of them could be the Samsung of the industry right now. Maybe even bigger. People love the hardware of both, but the software isn't as compelling. In Nokia's case, they made the deal with Microsoft (that eventually led to a buyout) and waned in popularity for a while. In Blackberry's case, they assumed they could iterate on their software and stay competitive because of their brand, of which they overestimated its value. Both companies are trying to bounce back, and Blackberry running Android (full Android with Google services) might be the play to save them.

Rumors or not, I am very excited about the possibility of having another high quality contender on the market. I really think that the re-emergence of a physical keyboard will have a bigger effect then most would believe.

Blackberry has always made a quality phone, and I hope it's not too little too late for them. I'd definitely consider a BB Android device in the future.
Now let's hope this does something to my stocks. lol.

Exactly, I know many people who hate touch screens and must have their keyboards.
