The hard part is trying to imagine a lawyer doing anything for free and more surprising something actually nice.

This sounds like a re-write of an old American Thinker article about a lawyer working in a black neighborhood. All of the bullet points match.

Reminds me of this. https://kek.gg/i/pbHXM.png

It's a long read. It's a lawyer talking about working for...urban people... for years and what he learned.

As much as I hope some of this is made up or exaggerated it sadly sounds too believable.

I once - when I was young and naive - did some volunteering for the poor and downtrodden too; not legal advice but providing some tutoring for their kids homework (you know the poor bastards couldn’t speak the language and couldn’t help their own kids themselves and education is the key to their kids success and kumbaya and all that...)

never again, let the fuckers rot in their own filth and ignorance.

ps seriously, want to red pill some of your naive friends still tempted by sjw ideas? strongly encourage them to do such volunteer work for a while...they don’t even need to be shipped off to some third world hellhole anymore to achieve the same effect, now that third world shit ihas been forcibly shipped right at our doorstep

Still kudos for actually having gotten off your ass and acted on your beliefs. There are too many people who are all talk and no action.

At the very least you got a huge, bitter red pill for yourself out of this.

Same thing happened to me many years ago. I volunteered and donated to an inner city charity type event. So I show up and they demand I do all this work, which is fine right, that's what I was there for. Except they watched and did nothing, note they were able and healthy bodies. The attitude was incredibly shocking. Very demeaning. It was eye opening. Then they asked me what time I would be in tomorrow. I only agreed to one day, but they pestered me with phone calls for months saying they needed help with office work.. Da fuck? Sad part was the other volunteers caved to the bullying LOL, I wonder how long they kept going.

Edit: And they did NOT look destitute, as they shuffled through donated toys for their kids complaining that most toys sucked.

Nah, you actually did something aka put your money where your mouth is. (Also you showed tha ability to think by coming to a conclusion instead of keep going with propaganda no matter waht.)

The usual SJW is only there for the talking and would never actually do something.

Sounds like being the ‘computer guy’ amongst friends / family ; not only your time is not valued, but if you do fix something or give advice on some purchase or whatever, you now own the problem (i.e., will be blamed for anything happening thereafter and expected to keep fixing it) for ever... heard similar stories from the designated ‘car guy’ elsewhere...

"So if my computer is so fucked up and out-dated, then sell it and buy a new one from that money. It cost me $800 7 years ago, so it should still at the very least fetch a $500!"

I love my fucked up family. At least when I fix shit for them they either buy me beer or make me food, and they don't fucking blame me when their failure to maintain their (computer/car/house) causes future problems. They either pay someone to fix it or bribe me with more food/alcohol.

But fixing shit for other people? Pay up front, in cash/services, and I'll give you a receipt detailing other shit that's already wrong and likely to be wrong in the future.

Yep. My wife, a nurse, is also frequently called on for free medical advice. Fortunately for her, it's usually accepted when she tells them to pay a doctor instead.

Lots of professionals e.g., auto mechanics, graphic designers, etc. have comparable problems.

What's up with ceddit? In less than 30 seconds trying to view the link my browser blocked more than 100 ads/trackers. And was unable to view the page, it was essentially blank save the sidebar etc.

I just re-checked Ceddit, and my uBlock Origin catches not a single ad. Still pinging @go1dfish in case that is something from Ceddit's end.

This was on Brave. Could be false positives but I'm not sure. Just kept counting up quite rapidly.
