Since you are running away from all your problems anyway, you should rob a bank. Use the money to reign down terror on your enemies. When the rush of being a bank robber and vindicator wears off, then turn yourself into the police. Confess everything. That will make them go easy on you, I swear. Then you will go to prison and enjoy your new life, debt free, a ward of the state. From that day forward all the schmucks you robbed will be forced to feed, clothe, house, and secure you, every day, for the rest of your life. You will be free to enjoy the finer things in life like: reading, writing, prison wine, poker, artistic pursuits, and all the anal sex your heart desires.
You will no longer be held down by the slavery of life on the so-called "outside."

If you think your old life is what caused you all of these troubles to the point where you need to abandon it, then don't let it draw you back in once things start looking up. Don't let her get a foothold back into your life, your old 'friends' whom you have grown distant with draw you back into your old life, and get rid of that debt ASAP.

Anytime.
Starting over isn't easy. Grab any opportunity you can get. Don't let anything hold you back if you don't need it.
