My friends and I have a habit of quoting "Frisky Dingo" Especially the part where everytime someone says las vegas, we quote "I like to call it lost wages.....nice." bit. It's caused a problem because someone once introduced themselves to me, I reflexively responded "I like to call it lost wages" and just started -dying- laughing at the inside joke..

Of course everyone around looked at me like I was insane.

My football coach was telling us we were running like a bunch of retards, and some kid screams out "trying to hump a fuckin doorknob!". Not everyone got it, but it was hilarious.

My friend group enjoys Mel Brooks movies a whole lot, and though we rarely have a decent set up to pull out a quote, we'll often great each other with "Badges?! We don't need no stinking badges!"

Quotes have their time and place with a close group of friends, but originality is always better.

self post here but as Scotland had a referendum last year, a few of my friends were at the polling station. one quoted Braveheart "FREEEEDOOM" when the line began moving to which this random gentleman went full trainspotting and bold as brass shouted "IT'S SHITE BEING SCOTTISH!"

The funniest time I ever used a quote randomly was at a wedding with my SO. Someone referenced San Diego and I went Ron Burgundy with it. We were both cracking up and nobody else knew why
