It's probably not in a state I'd be happy sharing just yet. But I will offer the services of it once API access is available and I'm happy its stable enough. Probably some point after that I'll release it onto Github.
I'm unsure what they will do with it on the live site, but by definition a bot can't enter a captcha and they have been adding features to the new API with bots in mind.

But you don't need a full-blown desktop environment to simulate a browser! Google "headless browser". Example: http://phantomjs.org/

Well firstly that's Javascript, secondly I'm not going to learn a new library when an API would be far better.
