I love this site so far but I will be very surprised if my kids end up using it. People thought this about MySpace, Facebook, reddit and so on. My niece, who is 17, using Facebook maybe once or twice a week whereas she uses Instagram throughout the day. I asked her about reddit a year or so ago and she had no clue what it was about though she'd heard of it. I asked her later if she ever went there and she had no desire. I just don't think a lot of sites have longevity and that's the natural cycle. Eventually it reaches saturation point and people move on to other things.

I was a late comer to Reddit and as such always felt like an outsider while everyone had their piles of sweet sweet karma. I would sit in the corner shaking my upvote tin, "please sir, spare an updoot?". They'd always walk past without even so much as a glance. 1 upvote a day kept me alive until Voat came along.
But now, being here... well I'm my own man. I've got a full time job, nice house, fancy upgoat car! I'm one of the first wave people. I had my 100CCP before the second wave even hit. Sure there were some dark days while the play pen got upgraded, but I share my upgoats among the newcomers. I've been on the other side of the karma fence, I don't wish that upon anyone.
