How about faggots or pussy? I'm sure kids their age who were jamming bayonets in Nazi throats in WW II didn't give a shit about name calling. Fuck these little snowflake faggots!

Whatever we call them it's already too late.

74 per cent think it could have a negative effect on young people's mental health

Oh, well if a lot of people THINK something COULD happen, then I must believe it's true. God forbid there's actual real data to support this crap. Let's just go with what a bunch of people guess. Oh wait..

Almost half of adults between 16 and 24 said they had experienced stress

What the hell? I know they say it's less than adults (btw why aren't 24 year olds adults) but are there actually people out there who have never felt stressed in their life about anything at all ever? What the hell garbage is this?

Oh to hell with the millennials. At least generation Z is in the pipeline. Just hoping they turn their backs on identity politics altogether, and not merely swing back to right wing id-pol.

What the hell happened to the millennials?

No I think I know.

Society went completely apeshit on protecting children. It was when my Gen X cohort took to driving their kids to and from school every day.

They grew up during the bush era, with free speech zones, "with us or against us", dissent is treason, and the govt wiping its ass on the bill of rights. When they became rebellious teens they switched to the other side of the fence while at the same time dialing the neocon crap up to eleven.

The idea of a bunch of kids thinking their parents are giant oversensitive pussies is pretty comical to me.

Ignoring the odd amount of malice for fellow Americans in this thread, I'm curious. Oldfags here (the 50+ crowd), do you remember as much generational-based animosity? I'm sure the hippy generation went through something similar, but it seems like it skipped a generation or two.

I think there's always been a degree of animosity between generational cohorts. Except, "The Greatest Generation" was pretty much revered by everybody. I recall people of my gen x group complaining about how baby boomers messed things up. I really don't know that my gen X group has made much of an impression. I guess Obama just barely qualifies as a gen xer? Trump doesn't for sure. You know it's like we haven't really been in charge yet, the damn baby boomers just cling to life and power.

It's honestly your father's generation that's at fault for this generational animosity, as ironic as that sounds. Boomers were the first to elevate "kids these days" to the meme status it is now, and their arguments don't even apply to the actual 'kids these days', because the Boomers were protected from the world that my generation, the millenials, and the Gen Zers inherited, through a financial bubble that they thought would never end, blowing up in all of our faces during the Clinton Administration.

The Boomers grew up in a world where "why don't you just go out and get a job?" was an actual thing you could say to someone, and on top of that, was a thing you could actually go out and do, as if it was that easy. Now thanks to the shitskins, illegals, inner-city druggies, and other societal scum, the barrier to entry for even minimum-wage employment is almost unbearably high. The days of little jimmy down the street walking down to the corner grocery store and asking the nice old man behind the counter for a bagging job, is O V E R, and it will NEVER come back. Nowadays, it takes several weeks to get that job at McDonalds, and, what's this? It looks like McDonalds pays only $2/hr less than that lab tech job at the hospital?! Well, at least I don't need to go get that degree now, since the bar's so low!

You can probably imagine how that would fuck some people up, who were fed a different expectation of society their whole lives.

All those cunts did was turn grumbling about 'kids these days' into a spectator sport, and only now has that spectator sport deserved to exist, due to the sheer volume of pusillanimous faggots that have been spawned into our world. I hope many of them kill themselves, because even in spite of the extra hurdles we're forced to jump that you did not, there's no reason to be such a fuckin fag about it. Life is pain, life is a struggle, then you die and cease to exist. Accept it or just end yourself.

I've always viewed kids ultimately as products of their parenting or lack there of. When I see older generations complaining about the kids of today, all I can think of is who it was that was supposed to teach them how to act. Maybe the parenting style differences is the ultimate cause. Hard to say.

I really do think a lot of the generational difference is manufactured. Do you remember articles like this one being printed for prior generations? Or news stories constantly bombarding you with this idea?

There are tons of differences in environment when it comes to the job market, housing market, cost of living changes, etc. To me it seems like a way to deflect the public's attention toward the symptom instead of the causes.

Their mental health was already damaged. That's why they're snowflakes.

I loved that gender symbol graph on 4chan that had the regular female and male gender symbols. Then an army of IDENTICAL special snowflakes followed.

It just so perfectly illustrates how we see these snowflakes.
