I feel like my poor attempt at at a joke here would be getting downvoated, but no one can yet.

I always preferred /v/fatpeoplestories and /v/fatlogic (as well as their reddit counterparts).

/v/thinpeoplehate actually has a moderator ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I like the Voltaire quote for this situation.

"I don't agree with what you day. But I will defend to the death your right to say it."

I don't like /v/fatpeoplehate but everyone deserves the right to speak their mind.

I think /v/gaming is taking a step in the right direction. I feel it will be a much better community than /r/Gaming which is full of shit memes..

Edit:

/v/ideasforgaming has also been created by myself, @reacher (who is a Gaming mod) and a few other notable contributors on the subreddit as place for discussions on how /v/gaming can improve and become an asset to Voat.

Nah, it's not better, you are imagining things. It will take time I assume to iron out that cesspool.

Really? I think looking at the front page of both of them is a clear indicator that /v/gaming is the better of the two.

Agreed. I have enjoyed the content so far

I too am liking v/gaming. It's turning into a casual spot to discuss games instead of just posting memes and going to r/games for gaming news.

/v/gaming is making good progress and already has mods that want to see it be a really great place to actually talk about gaming, which is exciting.

/v/voatgetsdrawn isn't run by a an insane, power mad sjw. So that's a real bump in quality right there.

/v/shitvoatsays counts if by "better" you include "Doesn't look for reasons to throw a tantrum about everything".

/v/news has more online users than /r/news at the moment.

I really haven't seen any that surpass the reddit counter-parts, but I think it's just that this site hasn't had the population or time to really build them up. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Right now it's feeling like Regular Reddit used to (pre drama days) and not current Summer Reddit. I'm hoping it stays this way. Even after the new rubs off.
