Despite what everybody claims, when called out to perform, most guys cant even shoot a .300 win mag worth a shit, let alone a .50 bmg. To a lot of guys, shooting magnums is like a penis size thing. Fact is, its not something everybody can do.

Ever shot the Smith and Wesson .460 in the 8.5" barrel with a scope? Or how about an online muzzle loader shooting a 350 grain slug with about 120 grains of powder and do it accurately? Take your size bullshit somewhere else.

You still can own cannons and warships. Tanks too. They're all priced out of most people's range though.

I don't really want to kill anyone, but if I did... I'd want to shoot them with a cannon.

They intended the population to be armed with military guns to defend against a tyrannical government.

What that means is, we should be able to own machine guns and mortars and tanks and....

Your move.

It's the cut of our founders' jib. Just look at the letter they wrote to a captain of an American ship about how the 2nd Amendment completely applies to the cannon on the captain's ship.

Problem: A tyrannical govt won't come rolling on on tanks; it'll be elected by way of corrupt politicians. By the time you realize it's a tyranny, it'll be too late. Guns won't help.

(may be useful for dealing with thugs though)

And the way a tyranny typically interacts with citizens is with police via indictments for crimes that are unjust. If you mean to fight back that means resisting arrest and shooting. They won't send the national guard. That would make you a hero. They'll send cops and make you look like a dick for breaking a law they've brainwashed most of the population to agree with. Hell, 3/4 of voat will be against you.

The drug war is not supported by 6/7 Americans, yet voat called a guy a dick when police enforced a law. You better believe if they imposed speech laws, the tyranny voat most fears, or communism, that anyone who fought back would be denigrated by voat.

How would it be too late? You can't police the streets with tanks and helicopters.

Bowling balls would be terrible. They would probably just shatter. Vs a hunk of metal the size of a softball, bowling balls seem weak.

You can use bowling balls as ammunition.

Google up some prices for bowling balls and say that with a straight face.

Then "freedom of the press" is limited to writing with a quill pen and a hand operated printing press. If you are going to argue firearms be limited to 1770's technology,
