Hadn't considered the smoke yet. They have absolutely botched this.

There is so much wrong with this entire scenario. He only shot for 9 minutes and suddenly quit while having tons of loaded magazines? It took them over an hour AFTER he stopped shooting to breach his room? He shot himself in the head, somehow left a blood trail to the pistol 10 feet away. Oh yah, after killing himself with the pistol, an AR ended up on his left leg?

Where's this in-room video they talked about once and never mentioned again? I want to see him pulling the trigger. I want to see him using a bump stock with near perfect precision.

Breaking another window to create crosswinds smells from miles as something a highly trained person would do.

But one of the issues was that was a seperate bedroom not part of the main suite with a security door in between that had to be breached by SWAT. So how much crosswinds would there be?

Im not familiar with the weather there, but 32nd floor suggest it was more than enough.I do not believe a single word what the SWAT is telling and neither should you. SWAT-like teams have always a directive to follow when talking about operations, and it never ever contains telling the truth about details.Telling the details of a operation can severely backfire at a future operation, and it doesnt matter in terms of the investigation, because everyone involved knows.

Yes, door separating the two rooms was found to be locked, and had to be explosively breached.
